”We enjoy staying at the Holiday Inn. The staff are always very friendly and attentive. Everything is clean. The breakfast buffet is constantly renewed with fresh food. Parking easy even when we have to bring out van Will choose to stay there next time we go to York”

”The room was meant to be soundproof but could hear next door for starters, then we seen it wasn’t a king size bed but two single beds put together which wasn’t very comfortable to say the least. Also two of the rooms I’d say are used for permanent residence. Then passing pedestrians through the night was noisy was irritating to say the least. We couldn’t work the heating system for the room. ”

”Excellent family run hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was cooked individually when ordered and not pre cooked left to dry out on the side. Only five minutes from the Minster so easy to come and go. Would thoroughly recommend.”

”Last minute booking as decided to stay overnight in York. Communication for check in was quick, property was easy to find, close to town and super clean and tidy. Had a relaxing stay and would definitely consider again next time we were in York. Small supermarket and Mrs Greedy’s at end of road was excellent for supplies and a quick cooked breakfast. ”

”Nice and modern hotel close to the centre and key locations. Only negative aspect was the really loud music playing in the lobby, which makes it quite annoying entrance everytime you return to the hotel. Luckily the sound insulation is top class and you can’t hear the music - or anything else for that matter - in the rooms. ”

”Lovely apartment in a historic building, ideally located just outside the city centre, but within easy walking distance of all places of interest in York. Nice touch of leaving a bottle of bubbly in the fridge - a good sign that the hosts are attentive. The apartment itself is well furnished and equipped, and really does feel like a home from home. Overall, thoroughly recommended.”
