”Gorgeous hall with lake view, super helpful staff , comfortable room, great breakfast … unfortunately the jacuzzi and thermal suite in the spa were not working so for a weekend spa break it’s not good luckily we had other things planned and for us it was a lovely weekend escape”

”Great room, the suite was really spacious and clean. Nice decor, the balcony was good on a hot day. The squeaky bedroom floor was really annoying but didn't effect our stay in any way really. Lots of parking available and reception staff very helpful. One thing we didnt realise is that they offer reduced rates to hawkstone follies which we didnt know pre arrival. We had a drink in both bars and staff were very nice at both.”

”STAFF POLITE AND HELPFUL. GOOD BREAKFAST, HOT AND GOOD CHOICE OF FOOD EVENING MEAL HOT AND TASTFUL FIRE ALARM SOUNDED AT 3AM AND WE WERE THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO RESPONDED...VERY HELPFUL STAFF WHO SAID IT WAS A FALSE ALARM.”

”This pub is located in the very centre of the town an thus walking distance from most attractions and restaurants. The place is clean though rather basic with few amenities. No breakfast is on offer. Our problem was that the bedrooms appear to have been built into this historic building with little or no sound proofing. The noise from the bar below sounds in the bedroom as if was coming out of the wardrobe! The music played seemed to be a challenge to the drinkers to shout over it. We could get...

”Although the hotel facilities were good and the location was very central, our room was above the bar which was a club on Saturday night. The music was really loud till midnight. Although the web site mentioned that they had a DJ, we hadn't expected to be right above it.”

”The service in the breakfast was great and helpful but products were ran out all the time. Staff was young overall and seemed unefficient. Room was beautiful and surrounding nice countryside, peaceful and pretty.”

”Stayed one night at the Shrewsbury rooms from start to finish everything was great we stayed in room one on ground floor well the decor the cleanliness everything was lovely would definitely stay here again. Nice little touch of takeaway cups if you want to leave with a coffee lived this. Only thing is the pillows where a little to firm for me. ”A lovely place to stay with genuinely attentive and kind staff who made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. The atmosphere was warm, relaxed, and very family-friendly — even the other guests were friendly, which added to the experience. It felt comfortable and homely, and I’d happily stay again.”

”The staff were fabulous, both leading up to our stay when they helped me with some surprises for my friend, and during our stay when nothing was too much trouble! I was able to order an extra package of fizz and flowers, which were placed in one of our rooms upon arrival, together with the banner that I sent ahead. THANKS”
