”This was a great spot for the 2 of us and our dog. You truly cannot beat how close to the ocean you are. Enjoyed the proximity to the beach the best. A lot of sand gets tracked in because it is on ground level. We had a broom but no dish pan so we just used paper plates to try and clean everything up. Kitchen was fine, nice fridge and everything worked. The only downfall was that there was not an outdoor shower! If you decide to stay here, bring a 5 gallon bucket to fill up with to try and wash...

”Ive stayed at this property 4 times I believe since 2017 it hasn't changed a bit. And thats why we love this place. Its so quiet and peaceful there. Brought my kids this time and it was a hit. We fished, kayaked, swam and just soaked up the sun. Its close enough you can hit the Outer Banks or go in to Virginia Beach. I wont even consider another place to stay when I come out. I recommend going to Coinjock Marina for dinner or lunch we do that alot. The swing next to water was a great added...

”Our 3 Ducks is a great place to stay. I had my 3 grandchildren with me. Plenty of room, easy walk to the beach, easy walk to the shops and restaurants in Duck. The house is well supplied, very clean and very comfortable. The kids found plenty to do and I enjoyed the screened porch. The home owners couldn’t have been more accommodating. I would stay here again, no doubt. ”

”We had a really lovely stay here. The house was clean and very nicely decorated with high end touches throughout. We enjoyed the location, the complex amenities and the pool & hot tub. The host was incredibly communicative and responsive. The kids enjoyed the trolly to the beach and the activities and crafts hosted daily by the community. Overall we had a great stay and hope to be back! ”

”Stunning view of Back Bay and a quiet neighborhood made it easy to relax. If you enjoy taking pictures, this is a great place to stay. Wildlife in the early mornings, afternoons and beautiful sunsets in the evenings. Also, it’s a quick walk to the beach and a couple of restaurants. It was cooler when we went, so we used the pickleball courts more than the swimming pools. Triple bunks were not meant for my taller teenagers, but the pullout/futon couch worked great for them. Susan was super easy...

”Blackbeard’s Retreat was clean, however could use an update. Awesome location, could benefit from an outdoor hose or shower, we needed to rinse off with the neighbor’s hose. It suited our needs for a couple days. ”
