”All was great”

”The room was beautiful and clean. Very good amenities, including an ironing board and an iron which is a rare treat! The staff were great and it was nice to have the pub downstairs. Breakfast was exceptional 👌 cooked to order.”

”Lovely old building with smells of a proper English b&b”

”Lovely room comfortable bed staff friendly and helpful and a lovely breakfast”

”Nice place to stay, friendly staff,............”

”We had a lovely one-night stay at House 41 while visiting Aylesbury Theatre. The room was spotless, warm and welcoming, making it a lovely place to relax after our evening out. Helen, the owner, was absolutely lovely and made us feel very welcome. The breakfast was freshly cooked, delicious and the perfect start to the day. We couldn’t fault our stay and would highly recommend House 41 to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay. We would definitely return if we’re in the...

”We had a nice and comfortable stay overall. The venue is lovely, with beautiful views and a great location. The rooms were nice, although a little dated in places. There were just a few things that could have been better. The toiletries were very limited for two people – only one soap, one shower gel and one body lotion. There was also a crack in the shower, and the water was filling up when using the sink, which wasn’t ideal. The spa was lovely, but we were disappointed that we had to pay...

”The hotel is a lovely building, the staff were nice”

”On arrival to the hotel our party were given the wrong rooms, i had ordered a double and a family room i was given the family room my daughter and family was given twin beds,it wasn't a problem we just swapped, and we settled with the twin room? we started to unpack when my daughter called to tell me there was a dirty pair of under pants behind the bathroom door!!!!! I immediately told her to again move out of the room and come to ours whilst I sorted this disgusting situation out, we had been...

”All good but it felt like there was constant cleaning around you as cleaning staff had trolleys in the corridor which made it feel a little unorganised and messy”

”Stayed in the hotel for one night since my congress hotel nearby was fully booked. A very positive surprise in the English countryside: friendly staff, tidy spacious rooms, good quality food. I will visit again, should my travels take me into this direction.”

”Great food, breakfast is fabulous lots of choice and actually the hot breakfast was hot which was great compared to other hotels, lovely helpful staff, huge suite, just needs brightening with some colour and touches here and there. Air con needs checking as wasn’t that cold and I am a hot person so really wanted it to be better. Shame there is no jacuzzi in the pool area and the pool is shallow both ends but I did have a lovely massage with Brenda. Overall lovely stay definitely stay again.”

”Lovely warm and cosy room. Very comfortable. Just want you want when planning a trip to the area with the changing seasons. Great location for Downley Hill walks, West Wycombe and Princes Risborough, Aylesbury, Thames and Oxford. Nice helpful and obliging receptionist Narinder and the smiley guy whose name I cannot remember. Thanks, and see you again soon. 😃”

”The room was quite Ok, but no 4 star hotel”

”The rooms weren’t clean and cleaned dust from the bathroom and the sink which had turned brown .”
