”Rooms are a bit aged. Dining in the hotel was superior but very expensive. Breakfast is also recommendable. You absolutely need a car to go anywhere, the close by Tarbert is a nice fishing village.”

”Really run down. In our room, the shower attachment distinegrated, the bathroom fan did not work, the toilet seat was broken, the electric face plate for the towel rail was smashed, the bathroom door had had 2 big holes filled, the carpet was stained. The entire hotel is run down and needs a full refurbishment. Outside, the beer garden has a fake rolled out lawn, cut badly around the edges with trip hazards. Avoid the restaurant. I ordered steak pie and mash. What I got was some meat in a dish...

”Nice breakfast, The property looks the same as it did 5 years ago and has lost that cosy feel. It needs a little TLC and it seems to have lost the ‘Scottish roots’ Staff are very polite but wouldn’t say friendly with almost a passive agressive attitude. ”

”Fabulous location with a great bar & restaurant. The bedroom was warm, comfortable and well appointed. The service by the staff was tremendous. The food, beers and whisky was absolutely tremendous, the best of my trip by far.”
