Huvilat – Colintraive

”Very comfortable cottage in a superb, remote, location. Hosts Andrew and Sheila were welcoming and helpful but equally unobtrusive.Lovely walks just a short drive away - a very relaxing week”

”We stayed at the Kames while exploring the area which is so beautiful. The hotel is ideally situated in an idyllic setting. The food was superb, especially the homemade steak pie! The Scottish Breakfast is the best we've tasted. Highly recommend this hotel.”

”Expedia does not tell you they don’t answer phone calls from foreign numbers & they have no front desk/ staff on site so only way to communicate is thru Expedia. I couldn’t get continental breakfast because Expedia blocks emails & they couldn’t send me payment link. No food or beverage available on site or within walking distance. Food delivery was lame, cash only & no utensils. Decent shower, bed & wifi”

”Stunning location overseeing the Bay. The building is superb but badly in need of a full renovation especially the upstairs hallways. The carpets are threadbare & the walls seriously need replastering notwithstanding this the staff were very attentive & efficient. The food was excellent and the place was very clean. All of the above shouldn’t stop you enjoying staying in a stunning victorian hotel. I am sure the owners will eventually get the decor sorted out.”

”Pete was super friendly and helpful with reorganising rooms for us and then delivering great breakfasts during our 3 night stay.”

”It was a beautiful room only drawback was 3rd floor being 82 &84 not as easy I think there were only a couple of rooms up there but worth it for such a lovely room. It was easy to park in street but would of preferred private car park but it was a nice quiet area, we didn’t use the bar but it looked nice if we’d been there longer I would of gone and sat in there, staff helped take our bags up to our room very helpful. 👍”
