”One of the greatest hotels I have ever stayed in. This place oozes quality. No wonder Prince Charles and Camilla stayed here when they paid a visit. The location in great but the staff are another level. Every detail is finely crafted and every need is jumped upon by well trained staff. Honestly the staff can’t do enough for you, they made our stay very memorable need. The food it top notch and if Michelin were in town they would surely get a star. The breakfasts are to die for. ”Two days stay with my daughter. Hotel is old beautiful masterpiece, colonial style. Rooms are rather small. Good outside areas for sunbathing. Tasty breakfast. And finally - excellent drivers, we rented hotel car with Driver for 4 days. Want to thank Mr Bandu for safe driving and his professional attentive approach. Thanks to sharing his vast knowledge, we learned a lot on geography, history and tourist attractions of Central part Sri Lanka.”

”We had booked the room Via Hotels.com and it was confirmed. When we arrived to the hotel, we weretold that they have no room available for us. They said that they have arranged a room for us from an other similar hotel near by and we have to pay only half ofthe price compared to Amora Lagoon price and that they will pay the other half on behalf of us. They drove us to this other hotel which was a very poor quality place and their list price was half of Amora’s price which we had to pay...

”Hotel in line with normal Shangri-La standards. Team here however was absolutely superb - helpful, friendly, great fun people. They made the stay particularly enjoyable. Breakfast is solid 5 star level with good, diverse buffet; the capital bar is wonderful, world standard. Food and beverage was strong throughout. Will stay here again. ”
