To fully embrace your peaceful, distraction-free getaway, we recommend downloading directions before leaving Divide, as the mountain terrain offers a natural break from cell service along the way. From Highway 24, turn south onto County Road 5 near the Conoco station and follow the road for about 4 miles through open ranchland and clusters of pine trees. Turn left onto County Road 51 at the fork marked by mailboxes and a green street sign, then continue for roughly 8.5 miles along the scenic forest road until you reach the cabin on your right. Look for the driveway marker with the house number surrounded by tall trees. Drive slowly so you do not miss the entrance to your private retreat.

Sloped Summit is a true "off-the-grid" style retreat designed for those looking to unplug from the noise. While cell service can be spotty, it provides the perfect excuse to silence your notifications and enjoy a distraction-free mountain experience. We recommend downloading your directions and check-in instructions before leaving Divide!



Is firewood provided?

Firewood is not provided, so we recommend bringing your own or picking some up locally on your way in. The wood-burning stove is ready to go once you have wood on hand.



What is the loft ladder like?

The loft is reached via a wooden ladder-style staircase. It is sturdy but steep, so it may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility or very small children.



Do I need 4WD to get there?

While the forest roads are generally well-maintained, Colorado weather can change quickly. A vehicle with 4WD or AWD is recommended during the winter months.



Are there places to eat nearby?

Divide and nearby Woodland Park offer great options like Iron Tree and Funky Town Brewery, plus various local cafes just a scenic drive away.

🪵 Firewood: Firewood is not provided during your stay. You're welcome to bring your own or purchase it locally. Please never leave a fire unattended, and make sure it is fully extinguished before heading out or turning in for the night.



💵 Additional Fees

Damage Protection: A damage protection option is required for all reservations and is processed through our third-party system prior to arrival. Before check-in, you'll choose one of two options:

Damage Waiver: A non-refundable fee from $25–$40/night (max $200), covering accidental damage beyond normal wear and tear, up to $500. Most guests pick this, and nothing is held on your card.

Security Deposit: A fully refundable hold from $350–$1,000. This is a pre-authorized hold (not a charge) that is released following a damage-free inspection after checkout, typically within 7 business days.

Amounts depend on the home and length of stay. This is handled separately from your reservation payment.

Optional services like early check-in, late check-out, and extra guests can be arranged on request, subject to availability. These cover the cost of reworking the cleaning schedule or bringing in a second cleaner. Please message us ahead of time for pricing and availability.
