    The Space:

    Treat the family to The Hideaway, a spacious, dog-friendly 4-bedroom lodge near Florissant, CO — rustic on the outside, bright and contemporary within for a comfortable, secluded stay. Enjoy crisp mornings and warm evenings on the expansive deck taking in the stunning views, then settle in around the wood stove and flatscreen with a home-cooked meal from the full kitchen.



    Two living areas plus a basement retreat (with two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a kitchenette) give everyone room to spread out and break out the board games. Getting away from it all is the whole point, with Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument, the Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center, Divide, and Cripple Creek all nearby — a flexible Pikes Peak-area base for groups and multi-family trips.



    Guest Access:

    There is parking for three vehicles on the driveway. There is absolutely no parking on the road as it is a county road.

Great house!

We had a great experience at this house! So much room, well supplied, and in a lovely location! We enjoyed the foosball table, puzzles, and large deck when we were there. We also liked how it was out of the city, but still close enough to all the activities we wanted to do. Thanks for a great stay!

This was such a nice, well-supplied house, with lots of room for everyone to have their own space. We loved sitting on the front porch, watching the wildlife, completing puzzles, and playing foosball when we weren't out exploring CO! Thanks for making our family vacation memorable!

Great family getaway!

This home was great for our whole family to stay and relax! The beautiful porch was our favorite place to hangout! Highly recommend staying here if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle.

Beautiful Home

We loved the views, the space, and the availability to allow us to get to all of the events we had scheduled for our trip. The deer waking up to the porch was awesome! We loved being able to see the wildlife up close!

Wonderful family getaway!

Secluded house with plenty of room for everyone. Beds were comfortable and the house was well stocked with towels and kitchen appliances and cookware. Really nice porch, inside and outside furnishings and the scenery was fantastic!

Amazing Getaway!

We seriously couldn’t have been more happy with our stay. The home was amazing with great views and so comfortable. It really is everything we’re looking for in a weekend getaway and we will DEFINITELY make this our place to go when we do so in the future. Everything from the cleanliness of the home to the quality of furniture and beds, to the deer prancing past the house just outside the front window, we just loved it.

Amazing, Peaceful Getaway!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Hideaway so much! It was such a beautiful home and had everything we needed for a great getaway. The house was clean, cozy, and spacious. We loved sitting on the porch and watching the birds on the bird feeders, and the view of the mountains from the kitchen was absolutely amazing! It’s so peaceful and quiet in that neighborhood, but still close enough to town to grocery shop before or during your stay. We are already looking forward to our next stay here!

The house was immaculate with pretty views. The teenager loved the basement apartment. Last bit of the road going up was a little rough. Overall a great place and we would definitely return!

Solitude PLUS action and the wonders of creation

My wife and I (ages 67 & 49) had a wonderful time of rest, reflection and action. We encountered so many mule deer up close plus mountain views plus views of stars and planets from our balcony. We rested and read, but we also explored nature everyday. The kitchen, living areas and bedrooms are perfect for a short or long getaway like ours.

Perfect property. Clean. Only suggestion is that there is a warped deck board outside kitchen door that should be screwed down as it is a trip hazard.

The Hideaway Review - October 2021

My wife and I were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and this was the perfect place to do that. The cabin was comfortable and inviting and we spent some of our time just staying there and relaxing. We also took advantage of the beautiful countryside. We went hiking, rode the train to Pike’s Peak and dined at local restaurants. The cabin is beautifully appointed and maintained. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return.

This house was completely what we were looking for. It had the very very quiet surrounding. The space we needed for my party with a fully furnished basement complete with kitchen area. If you are looking for space from the city this is the house for you.

Florissant get away

The Cabin was nice and accommodating. Only problem for long stays is the trash bin fills up pretty quick and you can’t leave the trash outside because of the animals. Other than that, perfect!

Wonderful getaway

This cabin was a great vacation time away for our family and provided a much needed rest. The home is very peaceful and has great views in the mountains. We loved sitting on the front and side porch with coffee and looking at the incredible view. The house is convenient to town and provides good access to lots of outdoor adventures. We hope to go back some time. There is plenty of room for a large family to spread out and enjoy time together.

Very clean rooms. We were a group of 10 and it was perfect. The only issue, rather a comment, is that the king bedroom has an attached bathroom which doesn't have a door! Thankfully a family from our group stayed there so it wasn't a big deal. Kitchen is fully equipped. Please be mindful things work weird at 8000 ft vs at sea level. We learned it the hard way. Nothing on the house though. It was beautiful in and out.

Mountain air

Serene setting with distant mountain views. It was conveniently located to nearby outings and was absolutely quiet and peaceful. "Becky" the deer hung out with us as we ate breakfast outside and seemed to like relaxing under the deck. Light pollution was minimal so we could clearly see the Milky Way and were lucky enough to catch a few shooting stars. The house was clean, spacious, and comfortable and we would definitely come back again.

Our stay

We enjoyed our stay, such a comfy cabin like stay with a amazing scenic view. So I give it 5 stars. Very spacious home with two kitchens. The only small complaint I have is that when the trash is full in the house an we go to dispose outside in the proper bin, it was overflowing so we were unable to rid of kitchen trash in the house. Other than that everything was clean and very well kept
