If I could give this place negative stars, I would. We stayed at the Super 8 in Columbia, GA while attending my daughter’s military graduation because of its proximity to the base—but that was the only positive about this experience.
From the moment we checked in, things felt off. The lobby was unkempt, and the staff seemed uninterested and unprofessional. Once we got to the room, it only got worse. The room was dirty, with stained sheets, a strong odor, and surfaces that clearly hadn’t been properly cleaned. When we turned on the AC unit it smelt like urine.
To make matters even worse, there were roaches in both the bathroom and the room, which made it impossible to feel safe or comfortable.
The atmosphere outside only added to the discomfort. Groups of people were hanging around outside smoking, which made the environment feel unsafe and unwelcoming.
Basic amenities were either broken or missing, and the bathroom was in terrible condition. It was clear that maintenance and cleanliness are not priorities here. On top of that, the noise level made it nearly impossible to get any rest—especially frustrating during such an important trip for our family.
