”Love the location and everything around. It has a beautiful view and everything is within walking distance. Just thought the place needs an update as far as curtains (stains), bathroom (just highly used) and TVs are outdated. I would definitely stay again.”

” We have stayed here before and we’re looking forward to our stay for the evening. When we arrived we were not informed that the hotel was under renovation. The pool and tiki bar were shut down . We did spend a few hours at the beach and they had music in the hotel lounge that evening which was nice . We were looking forward to pool time , I wish we had been made aware of the construction. I suggest anyone booking in the near future check in on the process of this . They are still charging...

”Overall it's a very nice historic hotel. Beautiful on the inside and breakfast was delicious. My only issue with it was the way the balcony was advertised. I was under the impression that everyone had access to the shared balcony space, but this wasn't the case. Only certain rooms on the 2nd floor did and we were put on the top floor, the 4th floor. When selecting the room from Expedia, it should have made it clear the rooms with access to the balcony and the rooms without access. Not sure how...

”We stayed in the south building and it seemed newly renovated. Love the “beach” Colors in the room along with the small kitchenette and the double bathroom sink (with one outside the toilet area). Very clean, staff were attentive, beach was terrific! Location was very good too. My only suggestion - there is a $40/day resort fee. That SHOULD include beach chairs or the use of bikes. While I appreciated the ability to park and the other small perks included in the fee - most of those are standard...

”We stayed here for our honeymoon to attend Loving Life Music festival. The staff was kind and attentive. The property was clean & the key needed to use the elevator was an awesome safety feature!! We accidentally left our wedding cookies in the freezer when we left and had to turn around to get them- the staff was so kind and had them waiting for us at the front desk. ”This is the perfect location for exploring downtown Charlotte. We were there for a show at the Spectrum Center..it was a 5 minute walk. It's surrounded by clubs, restaurants, art, etc and never had to get in my car. The valet parking was great. The cookies are amazing. Rooms are clean, loved the shower. 10 out of 10 will definitely stay again. ”
