”No reception which was a bit strange although understand that is the future. The emergency porter available to answer any questions and easy to come and go. Comfortable beds!”

”The best part of our stay was the food in the restaurant. It was exceptional. The worst part was the 38 steps up to our top floor room and the quarter mile walk to the car park. The bed was comfortable, the Nespresso coffee maker was nice and the shower was just OK, having only a rain head and no wand. The bar is great for what’s on the bar menu but lame for US cocktails. For instance, the bartender didn’t know what either a manhattan or Rob Roy was.”

”A good overnight stop on our journey to the south coast! Very friendly staff in the bar welcomed us, and were extremely helpful. Nicely decorated and spacious rooms. A good choice of decent meals on the bar menu available in the pub, so convenient not having to dine elsewhere. Excellent value, and both the evening and morning staff were great. Yes, a bit of road noise, and extractor noise heard in our 2 rooms, but we are used to silent nights living in a rural location!”

”Beautiful, quaint property with a great location. Room was spacious and comfortable. Bathroom sink was interesting with separate H & C faucets that didn't mix the water....oh well. Restaurant was very nice, and the food was well prepared. Service was a little slow & inattentive, but overall a positive experience. ”

Photos did not do the property justice it was so spacious including the ground floor balcony. We will be coming back and can’t wait. The food was great and so was the breakfast & pancakes!!
