”Narrow entrance to car park with two prominent concrete boulders. Scraped front wing on arrival boulders are hidden from drivers view due to small turning angle so beware....rooms have not been updated for several years. Bathroom very small, shower in bath lacked pressure. Staff excellent, nice continental breakfast. Great location . Hotel full of character set in lovely grounds.”

”A clean quiet hotel in a good location about 15 minutes walk along the promenade from the centre of Swanage. Staff are very helpful. Serves breakfast and dinner and has a spa in the basement and pleasant beer garden right above the beach. The parking is very limited and the only other downside is that the bed is one of the least comfortable (/older?) that I have slept in.”

”Lovely clean and tidy hotel. The rooms look refurbished and were spotless. We had the family room which was bigger than we were expecting. Two separate bedrooms and a bathroom. The staff were pleasant. Parking plentiful. Breakfast (eggs, hash browns, beans, sausages, bacon etc.) was included. Walking distance to the beach and restaurants/shops. Perfect for our stay.”

”We had a lovely stay and the breakfast was plentiful and varied with good quality ingredients. Our bed was comfortable and it felt like a proper home-from-home. I just can't fault our experience here because the location was good and Chris & Jackie were very helpful and welcoming. On the morning of our departure, Jackie had noticed that the seagulls had made a mess on our car so she gave the car a wash! That was above and beyond most peoples expectations as far as I'm concerned. Excellent.”

”We booked a Gold seaview room. The views were beautiful and the balcony was a great touch to have morning coffee & a glass of wine of an evening. Staff were friendly on check-in/out. Car parking was tight, but not a problem.as we were out all day & utilised the free car parking over the road between 6pm & 8am. Very confusing to have check-in at the rear of the hotel when the facade lends itself to where it should be. The room itself was well equipped (hospitality tray, towels etc...). However,...
