”We stayed for two nights and had a lovely, peaceful time. The food was delicious, prepared by Joyce, and we got a ton of advice and insight about the area and Ireland in general from Aidan. They were very friendly and welcoming, and the house and grounds are gorgeous and steeped in Irish history. If we ever come back to Tuam, we'd happily stay again!”

”Such a beautiful property with excellent, personalized breakfasts. A good book by the stove in the Reception Room makes for a cozy evening. Joyce is an excellent host and cook, and Aiden is a wealth of positivity and good information.”

”Fantastisk beliggenhed med den smukkeste udsigt. Mulighed for mange gode ture - til fods eller i bil - fra stedet. Lejligheden var kold og uden radiator i spise-opholds-stuen (der var radiatorer i de andre rum). Vi savnede en ansat på stedet til at svare på spm. Fx da der ikke var varmt vand eller da vi ikke kunne få badet på 1. sal til at virke. Eller om de havde en mobil radiator til spiseområdet ;)”

”It is a really good house for a group of up to 10 people. It's three minutes from Westport by car and easily walkable too. The house overall was extremely comfortable and well equipped. The beds were really good quality and comfortable too. The only thing I would suggest is it would be great to have a few additional en suites but it worked well as it was for our group. We all agreed that we would happily rebook The Rocks were we to return to Westport again.”

We can recommend trips to the sky road, galway, Clifden, the cliffs of moher, kylemore abbey or Diamond hill. On the other hand a day relaxing in the House is just beautiful. Theres everything in the House you Need, especially in the Kitchen. The View from almost every room is breathtaking. Its the perfect Place for a Holiday in Ireland. ”Der Aufenthalt war für uns sehr schön und zufrieden. Bei der Ankunft haben wir den Schlüssel gefunden, aber die Fronttüre liess sich nicht öffnen. Nur mit aller Gewalt konnten wir die Türe öffnen, sie war total verklemmt und einer meiner Freunde ist Schreiner, der konnte die Türe mit schleifen und schaben wieder einpassen. Der Aufwand war einige Stunden, die Herstellung durch einen Fachmann in Auftrag wäre ein grösserer Betrag angefallen. Ich kenne das Haus und war schon in den Jahren 1997 und...

”We spent two lovely weeks at the Brownstown Lodge. The house is spacious and comfortable. It was a good base for our exploration of western Ireland. Thomas responded immediately to our texts. Jim and Mary were wonderful hosts. There was cake and a lovely bouquet of fresh flowers waiting for us upon arrival. Midway through our stay, Mary brought us a delicious homemade rhubarb crisp!
