”Great house in a beautiful setting and convenient location. I overlooked in the description but important to note the host, Debra, lives upstairs. She is absolutely lovely and checked in on us during the storm to see if we needed anything. This was a last minute booking that saved our trip!”

”Breakfast food for the first day was graciously provided by the owner. Accommodations for our 7 adults family was very spacious. If coming from the US be aware the are switches in the bathroom to active hot water in the showers. We had a hiccup with the hot water supply but the owner was very quick to resolve the issue. The close proximity to town (6 minute drive) provide d restaurants/pubs, food store, pharmacy, gasoline, church, shopping…. I highly recommend this house. ”

”Loved it. Felt like we were staying in a traditional Irish cottage. Loved the stove in the living room!! Turf and wood right there and the first thing my brother did was light a fire using turf!! Great location, 1 block from downtown with easy access to pubs, restaurants and shopping. ”

”Had a very relaxing week in this lovely property in a great location. The place is very comfortable and peaceful - great for opening a bottle of wine and catching up with your reading. The local pub is an easy stroll away and offered a very warm welcome, great beer and excellent food. Our holiday preference is a self-catered property let. We've holidayed like this throughout Europe over the last 30 years, The Stone House would definitely rank highly in our Top 10 of properties we've stayed in...

”The cottage was spacious and great for four friends staying together for a week of walking in Co Cork. All the needs that are required ie. towels, sheets, kitchen utensils etc, were there. The kitchen was fully supplied with dishwasher tablets and a washing machine working perfectly. It's a 10 min drive from Castletownbere so no walking to the nearest pub/restaurant. A taxi ride to go into town. A beautiful location and a lovely spot to have time away from it all. I'd definitely go back ”
