”We booked this property because of the space and amenities within it, thinking that it would be a good home base to go to Killarney and Dingle and the surrounding areas. What we didn't know is that the little town of Castlemaine has a fun life of it's very own and if you go to Griffin's (a 1-2 minute walk!) for dinner and move to the bar for drinks afterwards, you will have a fantastic time! ”Location, location, location! Well appointed home only 7 min walk into town. Our family of 5 adults had plenty of room to stretch out, wash clothes at mid-point of our 8 day tour of Ireland, make a home cooked barbecue meal one night, etc. Hot tub was a welcome treat after a day of hiking. Property was super modern and spotlessly clean. Killarney our favorite town on the trip, and easy drive to Dingle peninsula and other areas.”

”Great location for Killarney National Park. We stayed 5 days and walked Gap of Dunloe then boated across, Ring of Kerry with boat trip to Skelligs, day trip to Blarney castle and Cobh , Dingle and Slea Head and golfing at Beaufort golf course. Very well equipped kitchen. Two bedrooms with ensuites have showers with bath shower combo in main bath. Great for two couples or family. You do need a car. Host was great and offered suggestions that helped make our stay special.”

”Had a great stay, the home is a nicely restored farmhouse and had everything we needed. The showers were great and the beds were comfy. We did make a few meals while we were there and the kitchen was well equipped. Very quiet location it was nice listening to cows mooing instead of cars beeping. ”There were 6 adults from Canada and we had a wonderful stay at Roisin and Larry's home. It is a very impressive home and they had a well stocked pantry for us to enjoy. There were lots of things over and above what was required but they were really appreciated by us. The check in and out process was great. ”The location is beautiful and private and easy to find . Accommodation is spacious and comfortable enough ( apart from the pillows but everyone has different preferences) but felt a bit dark . It seems there is a damp issue as the property unfortunately smelt mildewy and the bed clothes were all damp on arrival which meant we had to use own blankets for the night - we wondered if there is scope to improve ventilation . The water took a long time to heat for a bath … We walked on local footpath...

”Flat was perfect for 2 couples to stay and enjoy Killarney! You can cook if you want, but we enjoyed the pubs and restaurants right outside our door! Kieran was a thoughtful and responsive host, and we will definitely stay here when we come back!”

”Everything was mostly clean, but using the water heater was an adjustment and neither of the toilets flushed correctly. That was quickly fixed by maintenance though. My only real complaint about the property was the noise level. It seems that these apartments are rented out to large groups of students who party and make an unbelievable amount of noise. Great amenities, not so great with the noise. ”
