”Nice to have a shuttle service and breakfast but noticed the hotel could use some work , looking old in some areas, .gym not in service, equipment in hallway on 1st floor”

”The front lobby and dining areas are well-maintained and inviting. They have a restaurant onsite with a decent selection of items and good operating hours. The hotel room & hallway outside the room intermittently smelled of sewage which detracted from the experience, however. The staff was gracious and we were grateful to secure a room when our flight was cancelled.”

”Check in was easy. Staff were helpful. The room was quite nice and the bathroom was clean and updated, with a flashy lovely anti fog mirror. The bed was comfortable (very high) but the pillows were all over-stuffed- not a selection of flatter and fluffier. The heater/cooler is the old fashioned type that rumbles, loud+++. So between the ridiculous pillows and the rumble all night, sleep was minimal. The TV was beyond frustrating - two different remotes that each do their own thing, they...

”Just a good place to stay. A little hard to find; Google Maps live helped me out, make sure your smartphone’s battery is charged. Construction is nearby, just close the windows and you’ll sleep in just fine. Staff is limited but very friendly and very helpful. My room was missing TP; so I call front desk. House phone unplugged! I replug the phone, and call front desk and within minutes I had TP. They use fabric softener in their bedsheets and towels; if you are allergic or fragrance...

”Marriott Courtyard Downtown Halifax is, as named, in downtown Halifax. It’s in a great location, close to the Citadel and harbor. Good restaurants nearby and you can buy a quick breakfast at the bistro downstairs.”

”We stayed for four nights with friends. We were lucky enough to have a rear fronted room with a lovely view of the courtyard. Staff were very accommodating. The rooms were quaint with lovely decor. The bathroom was a little small with limited shelving. We enjoyed the $15 for 5 items on the breakfast menu. The location was perfect. Easy walking to the water front with lots of places to eat nearby. Free parking onsite.”
