Quiet rural retreat

On a celebratory July 4th, we had peace and quiet away from all the noise in Crescent City. We watched what fireworks we wanted to see from a scenic overlook nearby with about 15 locals, and are thankful our hostess suggested the perfect location. It's not the most modern facility, but it's clean, secure, and comfortable. Be sure to coordinate your expected arrival time so that the gate is opened for you. After you arrive, you'll have an opener so you can come and go as you please.

The place is fun, cute, private, close to the Redwoods. Bed was comfortable. Loved the owner's creatures that have the run of the place (cats, ducks, chickens) and enjoyed the chicken eggs. Gracious host, very available.

Redwoods Stop

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hideout. Aneka was the most hospitable and our hike on the Boy Scout Trail in the Jedediah Redwoods was great. The coast was amazing and not a far drive at all. If we are ever in the area again, we would definitely book again.

We were only in Crescent City for two nights to hike in the redwoods, and Aneka's place was perfect! She was an excellent host and even left a basket of farm fresh eggs from her chickens in the fridge for us. We'd go back!

My husband and I recently stayed for four days, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. Aneka, the host, was incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the start. The place itself was perfect — quiet, cozy, and stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.The location was ideal, close to all the areas we planned to explore, yet tucked away in a peaceful, wooded setting. We slept well every night and loved the little details, like watching the friendly chickens as we came and went. Most importantly, I felt safe and completely comfortable throughout the stay.If you’re looking for a serene, convenient, and charming place to stay in Crescent City, I highly recommend this spot. Fantastic Redwood Retreat

The Hideaway was a very cozy spot to stay while exploring the redwoods and crescent city. Only five minutes from town, but is super quiet and felt like a remote retreat. Aneka was a fabulous host and made our time very special.

Cozy and Hidden Away

We visited this property in the winter for our visit to nearby Redwood National Park. This cute property is tucked away nicely amongst the trees and even comes with its own chicken and rooster population. The converted barn was a little cold on our first day but the space heater Aneka left heated the room up very nicely. Communication with Aneka was a breeze and she was very responsive over text. She was also a lifesaver when my car wouldn't start on my last day and even drove me to a hardware store to buy a key fob battery and helped me troubleshoot my car. Above and beyond host! Would recommend!

Relaxing Country Hideaway

Really quaint place with all the necessities. A thoughtful, lovely lady owns and manages this charming place that’s a little bit in the country complete with chickens and fresh organic eggs in the frig. We felt very at home and relaxed here.

Aneka the host was great! She had recommendations for everything! Hiking, food and local attractions! The location was great with quick access to town and hiking trails. The Hideout was great as we were in and out every day a great home base!
