”Beautiful old world building with lovely rooms, bar the bathroom being upstairs. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was good especially the breakfast. Very disappointed that they had a special curry and pint offer where you couldn't have and alternative drink and when we ordered the curry anyway we were charged £20 without the beer wheras it was £15 with the beer!”

”My wife and I had a lovely stay in Charlestown at Honeysuckle Cottage for 5 nights. The house is well equipped and 10 minutes walk from the famous historic harbour which we were visiting for the first time. The nearest pub is even closer. There is limited parking outside the cottage but plenty of free street parking nearby. As it was, we were lucky and only once could not park near the cottage. There is a dehumidifier in the kitchen. It should be pointed out that this needs emptying of water...

”The cobblestone parking was slightly challenging, and we weren’t expecting to be in a separate building from the inn, but the room was very comfortable and the large window had a great view which brightened up the space. The location was perfect, and the staff was pleasant and helpful. We appreciated that breakfast was included.”

”This was the culmination of a self-promise made 11 years ago. Then, we had afternoon tea on the patio, but can’t remember how we discovered Portloe. We said we should stay here if we ever visit Cornwall again. Fast forward to now; an unexpected opportunity to re-visit Cornwall. And it came to pass. ”Helen and Paul must be two of the nicest and kindest hosts we've met. After a 6 hour drive, to arrive to a cream tea laid out in the apartment was truly a lovely touch. One of the cleanest places we've ever stayed, they'd literally thought of everything you could need. You name it, it was there, potato peeler, sieve, cling film, foil the works. ”Lovely stay in this friendly pub. Fantastic breakfast, plenty of choice. Staff were excellent, specially the lovely girl who worked so hard to make sure everything was OK. We were welcomed by the locals and had two days of live music in the garden. Fab weekend.”

Had a great sea view room and although the hotel was very busy we didn’t hear anything once the door was closed.
