”A fantastic get away from it all.Waking up every morning to the sounds of the sheep & lambs bleating in the distance with the bees buzzing among the garden flowers with the birdsong and the magnificent views across Swaledale was absolutely idyllic.The cottage is very welcoming with homely decoration. The hosts have provided lots of information about things to do in the Dales as well as lots of information about walking routes. We didn't need to venture far from the peace & quiet of Rubbing House...

Would definitely recommend.Only negative was the house wasn’t very warm despite the heating being on full, however, we did stay at one of the coldest times of the year with frost outside.Another point to note, take extra care when using the hot tub at night as the lighting to get to it from the house is poor”

”The barn is situated on a family farm with the owner, Wendy, living in a neighbouring property. We were made to feel incredibly welcome by Wendy, a lovely welcome pack with cake, biscuits and fudge and even treats for our dog. Nothing is too much trouble and the cottage is equipped with all you could need and more. Although there were only two of us when we travelled, it is very spacious and would be ideal for a larger family with ample parking right outside and a lovely courtyard garden area.”
