”We’re already planning to return; very impressed with this gorgeous hotel. Beautiful room, amazing power shower. Even oat milk sachets in room. Catered for one of our party who is vegan. Very clean. Was a touch chilly in our room but nothing too troublesome, it was a very cold day. Breakfast was great, lots of veggie and vegan options. Well done. ”

”Really nice place to stay. Lovely area for a walk etc too. Nice bar and restaurant. Also, very nice warm pool to swim in with a gym. Food was ok. I think it could be improved a little. But overall a nice place. Would visit again ”

”Gorgeous room and premises ... immaculately clean... hosts were just lovely... would highly recommend... all little things thought of and my dairy alkergy accommodated even had a small flask of oat milk for the room ... amazing breakfast not just taste but presentation also... it would be hard to beat... Fab location in proximity to the Shopping outley which us walkable and also The Blacksmiths at Gretna Green for weddings ... Thanks for a great stay xx”

”Lovely hotel and staff, pool very nice. Room disappointing. Building works going on throughout the hotel which wasn’t made clear at booking. We were in a ‘family room’ which was essentially a meeting room converted on the ground floor. The only radiator in such a large room was around half a meter from my head when in bed, the chosen location very uncomfortable and I therefore did not sleep well at all. Shower tray flooded easily which was annoying. Ok but the experience was certainly...

”The hotel is well located for City Centre and onward travel to Scotland or North East. The rooms were lovely, warm and comfortable. Nice bedding and towels. Everything seemed new. The staff at reception and breakfast were very helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Plenty of choice and topped up regularly. Gluten free cereal available. ”

”Close to the train station, friendly and helpful staff, bar and restaurant (which serves pizzas if you arrive after the restaurant closes). Rooms are basic and a bit tired but clean and beds are comfortable. No aircon. ”
