Your classic inn with worn down rooms and most basic breakfast. Uninterested staff who coukdn’t care less that there were BLOOD STAINS on the rug of our room. Got another room which after confirming two times was not similar than the bloody one we left behind.

Great location and excellent standard of room. Not very noise-proof from the bar across the road - it was loud until late and the early morning deliveries disturbed our sleep. The bathroom door didn't shut. Overall pleasant stay.

Goodramgate Apartments
Really central. Excellent check in support, allowing us to leave bags. Things just abbit tired, dishwasher was broken and left with stagnant water which was quite smelly

![Old Manor House site, Topcliffe Known as Manor Hills or Cock Lodge, this is the site of a medieval manor house belonging to the Percys. The view shows the outer ditch and bank in the foreground with the inner ditch [moat] and bank beyond. The conical mound was the site of a windmill. The manor is thought to have been erected in the 13th century and was described as 'ruinous' in a survey of the estate in 1577.
