”Music plays until midnight, but you know this going in. The only really annoying thing is the room cards demagnetize very easily. I was carrying it in my pocket next to a credit card and it stopped working. Both mine and my girlfriends failed. They need to get a better system, rather than blaming us for having it next to something magnetic. Never had this issue at any other hotel.”

”The property fit our needs and was clean and comfortable. Our room was clean and quiet, and the view of the bridge was very nice. We ate breakfast at the restaurant twice during our 3-evening stay and it was good. The portions were generous and the service was excellent. We didn't use any of the amenities and didn't need parking so I can't speak to those items. Check in was easy and fast and everyone was very professional. We arrived before we could check in and they stored our luggage for us so...

”Somedays there was no housekeeping, so I had to hunt down towels. But overall, the hotel was fine.”

”Excellent, comfortable, clean room. Easy parking. Friendly, helpful staff. We spend time in Portland every Summer, and for the last three years the Viking has been our Portland home. We hope to stay there again next Summer. We stayed there five nights this Summer.”

”The price is good and it is convenient to the Rose garden and the famous bookstore. But the parking was tight and the room was not very clean. It was not very easy for me to locate.”

”The guy at the front desk was rude and really not helpful regarding rooms and reservations, overall horrible experience and the front of the office is also under construction which just makes the mess an eyesore to look at along with the homeless/druggies roaming around in the parking lot felt uncomfortable I left within 2 hrs. If I could ZERO stars!”

”This motel has a handy location near Portland CBD and railway station. It's also easy accessible from the airport by light rail and street car. Big rooms and friendly personnel. Nice to get an early check-in.”

”Arrived late, no one at front desk had to knock on door, lady sent her husband out he asked why I was there I obviously told him I had a reservation, after lady spoke to manager on the phone, he then walked me to my room which was hostel style and how disgusting that room was, cigarettes and tobacco littered the table, very trashy room, horrid smell. As it was 1:30am I had no choice but to stay. Soon as I woke up at 7am I left the property. I’m a solo traveler so I had the flexibility I guess...

”Loved the location. Staff were always pleasant and helpful. The resturant was delicious! Make sure to checkout happy hour!”

”Check in/out was very smooth. Room was clean, a/c worked well. Bed was very comfortable. Good location for walking tourist in the Pearl district.”

”Over all decent 1 night stay.... amenities on site were good! Unfortunately the Cinema had a private party booked , so there was no 7pm show ... Parking lot and outside of building was exceptionally neat and tidy! Complimentary breakfast was great ! Big disappointment were the really lumpy and saggy mattresses 🙁 Didn't sleep”

Alex in particular took time show my wife and I how to get around in Portland, how the streets were organized, where the bookstore was, good places to eat, etc. I was very appreciative of his service, which I found to be above and beyond.”
