”My second visit in 2 months based on my first, very positive experience. Again I booked the dinner, bed and breakfast package for a similar value to a bed and breakfast stay elsewhere. I was given a room on the ground floor close to the dining area and rear entrance which suited me fine. Parking was easy and dinner was tremendous. I went for the same walk to Chawton. A great night's sleep was followed by a great breakfast and I left again very fulfilled with my accommodation experience.”

”I expect that no one from Expedia had visited this 'hotel' basically a pub with four rooms. They were tired, decoration poor, carpets grubby, toilet was noisy (Macerator) no breakfast options at all and very expensive, £95 per room!”

”Booked this hotel because of the pool and gym which I used every day. Be aware that there are swimming lessons on a Saturday morning so you won't get a quiet swim then, but great at other times. There is an additional charge for this. Had to swap rooms as the fan in the bathroom wouldn't turn off, but the staff were really helpful in finding another room. There are areas of this hotel which need some attention, but it was clean, and the bed was comfortable and I slept well.”

Breakfast was a great experience lots of choices from cold and hot options. Lovely garden to sit and relax. Had a lovely walk along the canal. Overall a great experience. ”

”Breakfast time was not very organised, perhaps this was because there was only one member of staff visible. The buffet was very poor. As guests we had to ask for hot food. There were no croissants or bread (which arrived frozen) and very little fresh fruit. Not what we expected for a 4 star hotel.”
