Matkaopas

A view of Cwmystwyth looking across the only significant flat area of the cwm to be found before the river reaches maturity near Trawscoed some 6 miles further west. Beyond, steep slopes rise to the Elenydd moors. Opposite is the cwm of the Nant Milwyn, at the head of which is the small but distinctive hill of Domen Milwyn.

Cwmystwyth seen from the west Cwmystwyth is a fairly scattered community, the farm and nearby houses are about as dense as it gets, although there is another small group of houses just down the road from where the photograph was taken.

There were power cuts in the village which caused a multitude of problems for the staff but they went the extra mile and did everything they could to make all the guests as comfortable as possible. On that basis alone, we would highly recommend.

Difficult to assess as visited in early March, so very much out of season. No hot food on premises. Swimming pool cool (heating issues) on the two occasions we tried, Steam room and jacuzzi were OK, Sauna was out of action. Pool Showers out of action on first visit.
