”Visually the place makes a very good impact. Dinner, the food was excellent as were the staff. Breakfast … we’d booked it at check in. We turned up to breakfast and there was nothing booked , the service at breakfast was okay , we did have to case up something. But overall we had a very good stay and would return.”

”This was a wonderful experience, very friendly staff who were always ready to help, offering glasses of chilled water in the spacious and well-furnished public rooms and alcohol in the evenings. We stayed in the large Shakespeare room, often used as a Bridal Suite. The spa is great, with a good sized pool, a jacuzzi and unusual sauna. Really good breakfasts served in bedrooms and at the nearby sister-hotel Milsoms. The fine dining at the main restaurant on the nearby River Stour was sublime,...

”Calm atmosphere. Helpful and polite staff. Everything was as expected and I enjoyed my stay as usual.”

”Clean room. Breakfast was good. Cooked and continental. Swimming pool was lovely and warm. Area was a bit tired but that didn’t affect having an early morning swim. All of the staff were really cheerful and friendly.”
