”The room was good and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was good too. The only negative is that check out is at 10:30, and they wanted 20 pounds to extend it to 12.”

”Cosy bedroom with ensuite. Love the quiet location and a great pub across the road. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The microwave was a bit smaller than we expected but worked.”

”We adored our stay and wish we had more time to spend here. What a wonderful country setting in a traditional B &B. Beautiful chapel views from our room which also overlooked a sweet field with sheep. We were welcomed at the door and bid goodbye personally. ”This is a gorgeous inn in a picture-perfect English village! The only issues I have is that the room for 3 people is quite inadequate in size and furnishings. A couple of hooks to hang clothes, a footstool as the only seating, no drawers and only one folding luggage rack, meaning we had to live out of suitcases on the limited floorspace. The restaurant was fabulous even though it had a very limited and expensive menu, and other options were in nearby towns. We would go back in a heartbeat if...

”Character room, good size with everything you would need. There were a few things that needed refreshing but it was all fine for a short stay. The breakfast was really good, hot and well presented with good coffee/tea. Good value for money and good location for many places to visit.”

”Check-in and check-out were very smooth. The room was spotless and the amenities were excellent, including the well-stocked small fridge with food and snacks. The weather was exceptionally cold during our stay, and unfortunately the small heater wasn’t quite enough to keep the room comfortably warm.”

”A great option not that far away from London. But not on a hot day. The window cannot be opened beyond two inches and the room temperature was incredibly hot”

”Good price but reflected in the extremely poor state of the rooms and particularly the bathroom. Cracked walls, lights that didn’t work, and an incredibly creaky floor. I really felt for anyone underneath us. Useful location but wouldn’t stay again.”

”Already the premises give out a reassuring feeling of care and comfort. This is then corroborated by the quiet and clean rooms, warm and cosy, along with a spacious breakfast area which presents a good variety of food, replicated for the dining area. All this topped with an ample parking space. Last, but certainly not least, the caring and welcoming staff just make it a must to want to go back.”

”A fantastic price for a decent sized room for 4. The bar area was nice & it was handy that food was served till quite late. The spa facilities were v basic, but for the price I feel it was worth it.”

”Lovely brick building from 1902 retaining all its old charm. Now a modern pub/hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We had food that evening which was very good. Wine and beer prices were quite step but that's par for the course nowadays!!! The bedroom was well appointed etc. All in all, a great stay there.”

”Brownover Hall hotel is a beautiful and grand building. The rooms are nicely decorated and feel luxurious, but comfortable. The team at the hotel are friendly and welcoming and the restaurant is great too. You don't need to leave the place to have a lovely time, but there is a retail park nearby if you fancy some shopping. Highly recommended.”
