No need to worry about the noise, this sleepy community is the perfect place for a quiet mountain vacation. Enjoy all the comforts of home with a fully equipped kitchen, laundry area and comfortable furnishings. Spend the evening relaxing in the outdoor hot tub or curled up by the fireplace with a movie or book. The ample yard is the perfect place for butterfly chasing or snowman building. Mountain views in a private setting are sure to make you plan to return. Free WIFI, and cable TV provided with every rental. Nice area for long walks and bike rides. Easy winter access.

This property is in a great central location between timberline/Canaan Valley, Davis, Thomas, and Black waterfalls. Great front porch with swing! Comfortable beds. Quiet.

The property is located off of the main road, so even despite snowey conditions and my lack of 4WD, it was accessible in the winter. The house is well kept and has everything you need for a group trip!

Great getaway!

Unique property with it being in a private airport! Well stocked cabin with cozy touches. Hot tub was great and would recommend for someone looking for a weekend away!

Very cute and clean. Perfect amount of room for 5 adults and our toddler. Great outdoor space! Lots of toys and activities for our two year old daughter. Easy to get to local hikes and restaurants!

Lovely Place

For hikers/skiiers, this is a great place. Close to all the hiking trails and ski runs. Davis is a short drive for a good grocery store. The house itself is tranquil and tucked back in the valley. Clean and plenty of room for a family. Beds were comfortable and well appointed. Perfect choice!

Birthday Ski trip

The house is set in a wonderful quiet neighborhood. It is close to Timberline ski without being right on the slopes. This was much preferred for privacy and beauty. We had a lovely time.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin was nice, but definite improvements could be made to make the stay better. The whole house could use a thorough deep cleaning as it just wasn’t as clean as I would prefer. The bedrooms would greatly benefit from some light-blocking window coverings like the curtains in the front bedroom. While the upstairs loft has beds, it is not suitable for sleep with the skylights and windows. The sun goes down later and rises much earlier than we are used to, so window coverings were definitely needed. The check-in process is very antiquated as you have to drive to a completely separate location to pick up and drop off keys. While it was a quick process, the fact that you have to do that seems unnecessary since there is a keypad on the door of the house. It is a beautiful property and we really enjoyed sitting in the backyard in the evenings.

Excellent Location & House

This was a spectacular property! We spent Labor day weekend here. The kitchen was well stocked, had all utensils and it was very clean. Hot tub was very clean and amazing, kids enjoyed the hot tub and also they were able to ride their bikes around the neighborhood. It was quiet and out of the way. It was 12 minutes from Blackwater falls and easy to go around. Very scenic and relaxing place. The place was very well kept. The porch swing was amazing to just sit and relax. We all loved the house very much <3

Family Holiday Weekend

This was a spectacular property! We spent Thanksgiving weekend here. The kitchen was well stocked, enough to cook a full Thanksgiving dinner! The kids were able to ride their bikes around the neighborhood. It was quiet and out of the way. Short drive to Thomas and/or Davis. Greatly enjoyed our time at Blackwater Falls. The place was very well clean and well kept. Even had a maintenance man come for a minor repair on Thanksgiving day.

It was so clean and the beds were very comfortable. There were plenty of games for our granddaughter to enjoy. The kitchen was well stocked, everything you’d need. Hot tub was amazing and we also enjoyed making s’mores by the fire pit. Even though it’s near an airstrip it was so peaceful and quiet the entire week. We loved the location. Already looking forward to returning next October!

Wonderful Stay!

From the moment we checked in to the time we checked out, everything was perfect! We have been coming to Canaan for years at various homes and this is one of the most well equipped, clean homes and we couldn't be happier. We lacked nothing including crockpots, griddles and so many pans! We did buy an ice cream scoop and left it. Bonus.... Our hosts even left bandaids, Tylenol, wet wipes, toothbrushes and many more extras if we needed them. It was quiet and peaceful allowing us to enjoy the valley. We will look into this place next year (unless we bring our entire family!) Thank you and I hope others enjoy it as we did!

Wonderful little house that lives big

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: House was fantastic for our 2 families of 4. It didn't have a 3rd level (basement) with rec room like other houses, which wasn't a problem for 2 families (though more than that, I think we'd want it). The flat terrain and ample snow was great for kids play, and the interior was well appointed (though better cookware would have been a nice upgrade). We didn't get to try the hottub. Our only real complaint was the abundance of cool white light bulbs throughout which should absolutely be changed out for warm white. The chair legs seem like they were about ready to break off--and I'm glad they didn't on our visit! Otherwise great place!!
