Very disappointing stay – not the luxury experience advertised.
I have stayed at this property previously and have also stayed at many luxury hotels and resorts around the world. Unfortunately this stay did not reflect the standard expected from a property promoted as luxury accommodation.
There were multiple maintenance issues with the villa. The spa continually drained and would not hold water above the jets, meaning it could not be used properly. The oven was not functioning and had been replaced with a microwave, the hairdryer was broken, and all TV remotes had flat batteries. When we went to reception we were simply handed batteries to replace ourselves.
We also called the after-hours number twice regarding the spa not working and received no response.
At checkout the manager knocked on our door exactly at 11am while we were doing a final check before leaving. Instead of addressing the issues or the lack of response the previous evening, we were told the room needed to be vacated immediately and the manager remained outside the doorway waiting, which created a very uncomfortable interaction.
To make matters worse, the public response posted by management online does not accurately reflect what occurred during our stay.
Unfortunately this experience was extremely disappointing and not the standard we had experienced here previously.
