”Nice one! Great room with a king size bed, spotless clean, spacious and cosy. The only minus was the extremely strong smell of washing detergent in the bed linen - this hotel is not suitable for allergic people!! Our clothes smelled like the washing detergent for days later... Otherwise nothing to complain about, staff was great, friendly and helpful, breakfast was good and the overall atmosphere in the hotel was good. We could stay again in this hotel.”

”We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Chestnut Tree. Lisa, the host was the main reason, she is a great communicator which is important when booking. She was so very helpful with local information and incredibly kind. Our room was beautiful and the amenities in the bathroom delightful. The area is beautiful but with only one night, we didn’t get the change to do much exploring. Next time. Thank you Lisa for a wonderful stay.”

”Convenient location for Gatwick and long-term parking options. 16th century building with bedrooms in character separate block. Upstairs bedrooms only accessible by steps but large size with King bed, chair and desk. Large bathroom and good shower. Very good breakfast with locally sourced ingredients and large portions. We were a late check in and manager brought us bottles from the bar to our room. Would stay again for sure.”
