”Must have been a beautiful hotel in its day but now it’s very tired, no staff, no working lift, or working aircon, lightbulbs blown. Such a shame really because the location is ideal and there’s a cheap carpark around the corner”

”We had a lovely stay, the farm is stunning, we loved the access to the gardens and watching the cows and chickens and our host Sarah was great. The only thing I would suggest would be placing a fan in the rooms as they can get really hot in the unusually warm weather”

”Our room was not as big as expected from the photos and we were overlooking a flat roof with extractor fans continuously on - not so great when we had to have the windows open in the heat and could not get the ac to work. However an extremely helpful receptionist (Jay) gave us a different room a little bit further away which was a little bit bigger and slightly less noisy (thanks Jay 🙂).

”Charming pub with rooms in the courtyard. Each one had parking outside. Very spacious room with comfortable bed, smart tv and tea & coffee making facilities. Good size en suite with great shower. Towels provided along with a hairdryer, iron and ironing board. Breakfast was made to order along with continental options. Staff friendly and attentive. ”This hotel is a typical English pub hotel best suited to those with a car. We had requested a ground floor room but were allocated an upstairs room on arrival. However, this was changed by the receptionist and the room we got was fine. It was a good size and looked out on the bar courtyard, fortunately quiet as it was cold and wet outside.
The bathroom was fine and bed comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and the evening meals were good.”
