”The staff were so helpful, couldn't do enough for us. The food was out of this world, so tasty and beautifully presented. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable. The bathroom was clean with a huge walk in shower. There was a kettle and a wide variety of tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits too. We both slept well. The curtains were blackout so weren't disturbed by the light either.”

”The hotel was right next to the train station, so very convenient as a base for travelling in the area as we did. The city is so small that the walk to the bus station (where buses to e.g. the gower peninsula leave), the quadrant shopping centre or the restaurant cluster is no problem. There are a few small convenience stores close to the hotel, which were open til late, and the 24h tesco (not sundays) was also within walking distance. Overall a nice and clean base.”

”We stayed for one night & chose the larger room when we booked so had plenty of space. Loved the decor & ordered the waterfall prints that were in the room when we got home to remind us of the waterfalls. Room did get hot (very warm weather when we stayed) but there was a fan & we probably hadn't got the velux windows open as far as they could go. Booked a table when we booked in & had a very enjoyable evening meal.”

”My boyfriend and I came here for one a night stay. We stayed in a standard beach view room and it could not have been better. Gorgeous view of the beach from our window, very clean room, excellent facilities, comfy bed, friendly owner. We felt very comfortable here and it was perfect for our trip. Amazing for the price too. Only very slight complaint is that it’s was quite noisy being on a main road but other than that it was perfect. Would highly recommend and will definitely be coming back if...

”We enjoyed our stay very much! The property owner obviously thought of every need one might have. From the towels to the tea to the nicely stocked breakfast. We had a wonderful view from 5B, a super bed and it was quiet. Along the stair landings were books, dog biscuits, wine corkscrews and even a sewing kit. A big thanks to Patrick. ”

”Booked this hotel as the rest of our large group were staying at The Ivy Bush Hotel opposite, where they had been recommended. We were not disappointed, the hotel was beautifully decorated and everywhere spotlessly clean. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included and was scrummy. Our friends at The Ivy Bush were extremely disappointed with their accommodation and evening meal and next time will book the Spilman Hotel. Would definitely recommend 😊”

”Had a lovely time staying here. Different from staying in a hotel. Hot drinks offered to us every time we came in. Beautiful big bedroom with a large bathroom with bath and separate shower. Clean, tidy, really comfortable bed. Had the best 2 nights sleep I’ve had for ages. The breakfast was cooked to perfection and the proprietors are lovely, warm, friendly people. Would definitely recommend and will definitely return next time we’re in the area. Thank you both x”
