”Booked last minute on Expedia due to flight cancellation. When arriving at midnight front desk clerk tells me the power has been disrupted and they could not take Expedia reservations. Told her it was non refundable and all hotels at DTW were sold out. Her attitude was terrible and she was going to kick me out after a long horrible day in the middle of the night. After some begging she gave me a room. For a 2 star hotel they overcharged knowing travelers were desperate. Never again ”

”I think they are skimping on the staff. Place could really use updating, or they should price the stay more accordingly. My curtains were falling off the track, carpeting had large nasty stains. The bedside table was propped up by a brochure underneath. I was afraid the shower curtain was going to fall off the wall and the toilet paper holder was falling out of the drywall, dangling by screws. There was some kind of creepy crawly in the bathroom when I returned from an event nearby so I checked...

”First off I want to say that the staff was great, the airport shuttle runs on a pretty clean schedule and there is a very good Thai restaurant here. That however is about all the good things I have to say about the property. It had a pervasive odor of human waste throughout the lobby and hallways. In the room there was quite a lot of poorly repaired damages to the walls. The room rate for the night we needed was low so I guess we got what we paid for. ”
