”The hostel is situated in a residential area. Parking is available on a residential street. The check-in process with Travis was easy. Minor issue when showing me to my private room as someone else had the same first name and accidentally showed me to that room first. But was quickly corrected. The room itself was functional. The bed was firm. The shared bathrooms was clean, but showing its age with various broken tiles. I was only staying one night in Detroit and this is definitely an option...

”It was a lovely place, with rooms spread between several buildings. A block from the trolly to downtown. Much more relaxed than a large hotel”

”The hotel couldn’t find my reservation because Expedia never sent it to them. The manager was on the phone for 30 minutes trying to help me as I stood at the counter trying to check in. Eventually the call was disconnected by Expedia with no resolution or reservation sent to the hotel. Now I’m stuck with paying for a three night stay at a hotel and I didn’t even stay there.”

”Room appeared clean, but I’m quite certain I got bed bugs the day after. The pool did not seem to have been serviced in a while, not a single smell of cleanliness. No pool towels until later. Walked by 2 hotel staff cleaning rooms and blatantly complaining about how many rooms they’re assigned to clean. But the main lobby was well maintained, nice seating areas that my family hung out in. ”The onsite team or front desk was great. My only complaint was the cleanliness of the room. I dropped something on the floor and when I went to retrieve the item, I noticed how dusty it was under the bed. Keep in mind, the bed sits high off the floor and the floor is vinyl. There was a film along the plastic baseboard that only happens when you mop without sweeping and now there is gunk stuck to the baseboard and floor. My recommendation is that at least twice per year the beds are pulled out...

”Miss Q, who works at the front desk is AMAZING! She spoke to every single person with the same level of patience and care. She was so helpfully with any and all requests/questions we had! She was a true gem and needs a raise if nothing else! Hold on to her!”
