Our room was very cold and the heating only worked intermittently (we turned the radiator to full but it came on for about an hour one night and roasted us on the final night, two other nights had no heating at all). Parking was ok but we got the last available space on a couple of days after going out… I think you can park in the approach road for free...

”We stayed in an upstairs courtyard room. The room was clean and well presented with the bedding fresh. All the staff that we interacted with were a credit to the hotel and nothing felt like too much trouble. We opted for breakfast each morning of our two night stay and the quality of the ingredients and service were a highlight of our visit. ”was able to park just in front of stable room work is in progress at the property so didnt look its best on the outside,inside was fab we had everything we needed plus extras like fridge ,toaster,microwave plenty of plates mugs dishes good drinks making equipment,single beds were comfy and spotless,tv was a bit confusing but we managed in the end,we had a lot of noise on the 2 nd evening and early morning could have been the workmen🙄 the royal oak pub is extremely welcoming drinks and meals...

”Check in was quick and easy. Staff were helpful and polite, even moved me from a room in the inn to an annexe room so I could be away from noise from bar. Also had a very good breakfast which is extra but excellent value for money. Definitely recommend it hotel and breakfast.”

”The thermostat to the radiators didn’t work so we couldn’t turn the temperature down and were therefore uncomfortably hot and got limited sleep. The mattress added to the lack of sleep as it was very uncomfortable. The door to our room you could close from the inside with a hard shove but you couldn’t close from the outside so we couldn’t leave anything valuable in the room.
