”I am a bit biased as this chateau was the home of one of my ancestors in the 16th century. I took my 85 year old father there with other members of our family for about a week. It was an excellent base for our side trips to Poitiers, Tours and La Rochelle. In several rooms, here are copies of a well researched book (in French) telling the amazing history of the chateau. Richard the Lionheart and his mother Eleanor of Acquitaine stayed here. It can be a bit cool inside during cold weather because...

”We stayed for two nights in Poitiers. I liked the hotel and the room. The room contained everything we needed for preparing some food etc. The hotel is located some 10 min walk from the old city center (going up hill) and close to the train station. Helpful staff.”
