”We filled the chateau with 26 people, aged from 2 to 80, and it never felt overcrowded. Lots of lovely old furniture, but new good quality bedlinen and towels. Very clean. We mostly cooked for ourselves, and the kitchen was well-equipped for such numbers. Outside, there's a new tennis court by the pool, both are great. (The free-standing pool in the main photo has been replaced by a much better one, and the badminton/volleyball court is no longer there). The outside dining furniture has also...

”Having read some scary reviews, we were a little worried - but it was not at all Fawlty Towers. The building itself is magnificent - it's definitely the tallest room I've ever slept in. The roses in the walkway - such a scent. The gardens have a well-tended, shabby-chic feel where you can see the grandeur of the original planting being colonised by nature. The menu is expensive but if you are at all foody, go for it. It was delicious. If you are more budget-orientated there's a bistro just...
