”The best part was the breakfast, very good and very polite individual. The room was cold, no hot water to shower, no one around to solve the issue. All in house amenities not in use. No bar. No service, no contact. It's 2 miles from town, so taxi us essential. It's the sort of place that picture perfect... But you'll only go once. Sorry for the bad review, almost recovered by the polite service and lovely breakfast.”

”Cottage was in a beautiful setting, peaceful and rural. It was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. Hot tub was perfect. Beds were ridiculously comfy and with the peace and quiet we slept like logs! Tracey the owner was friendly and welcoming and gave us lots of helpful information about the area. And we even had a fabulous welcome from Bella the puppy! We will definitely come back and recommend it to others.”

”It’s a very cute place and the staff were lovely and welcoming. Room was very clean. If you’re visiting from the US, just know that there’s no air conditioning, just an oscillating fan. And for some reason they don’t use flat sheets, just a down comforter, which is far too hot without AC. I had to leave very early and no one was there and the front door was locked. ”Great place to stay. The staff were really friendly, the room was bright, spacious, super clean and all the amenities needed for an overnight stay. We ate dinner and breakfast both meal times provided a great choice and tasted great. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for somewhere to stay in the area”

”Absolutely delightful hotel. Me and a friend booked a room each for the Hay Festival, and we couldn’t have been happier with our stay. The staff were wonderful; helpful, friendly, even showed us to our rooms. The location was great, not too far away but far enough that I’d was quiet and tranquil. The breakfast is well worth the money, as is the Old Barn pub across the road, where we ate that night. A fantastic stay, I can’t wait to return with my husband next time.”

”Parking is an issue at this hotel. Room was clean and comfortable. Food at the function I attended was very good considering the numbers involved. Some training of the serving staff might help. One of them knocked my drink over, said "Sorry" and that was that. Drinks were very pricey.”

You had to walk behind the reception desk and through the swimming pool to get there. There was no relaxation room. Enjoyed the massage but for the price I had hoped for some luxury and somewhere to lie down and chill afterwards. Also you have to go through the tiny gym to get to the hot tub and if someone is using the treadmill...
