But it comes with all the charm of a boutique hotel, like a slow elevator (and only one small elevator), so don't expect the perks and efficiency of a franchise hotel. But I still prefer it and it feels more like home. I'll stay there again when I'm in Evanston!”

”Not a great stay, unfortunately. While the location is nice, the hotel looks a bit dated - the full-floor carpeting or something else causes the place to smell mouldy. My shower only had one mode, which was a hard spray, and my toilet clogged up twice in a 3 day stay.”

”We had stayed at this hotel about 5 years ago and it was incredibly worn and the service was poor at best-and I swore I would never go back. I learned they had updated the hotel -so I figured I would give it another chance- as there are so few options in Evanston during parents weekend etc. Unfortunately, it was just like putting lipstick on a pig- maybe they painted and got new bedding but it is still old and dilapidated - the bathrooms are yucky. ”The staff was kind and the breakfast was really good! They have a 25/7 snack section but there was a cob web of pretty decent size by the food. But otherwise it was a great stay and that was of course a small issue. Oh! The tv remote was really slow.. probably needs to batteries, but again no major issues. I would stay here again in a heartbeat! Great location too!”

”Yes, the room was clean but in the hallway there was a terrible smell close to a specific room; it was a smell of decomposing trash. We stayed from April 28th thru May 9th.”

”The hotel is perfect for Cubs fans, nothing more convenient. Very clean, nice shower & bathroom. Beds are comfortable. Staff is friendly. For the price, not worth it for people who aren’t going to games. The room doesn’t have a fridge or coffee maker. Hotel bar is very cool, but also costly. ”

”This B&B is absolutely worth visiting due to the breakfast. If you are tired of those standard hotel breakfasts visit this place and you'll be happy. Rooms are rather normal and the general spaces are full of "collector's" stuff, don't let that disturb you (ok the weightlifter statue might get the cr** out of you if you stay in the room next to that) .. breakfast is the thing why you come here (you'll get a 5* breakfast in this place). Staff is extremely nice (enjoyed discussing with them a lot)...
