”Our two nights stay was fabulous I would definitely recommend staying here. All the staff were extremely friendly and hard working. Our room was very spacious and very clean we were in Suite 16 which also had its own car parking space which was very handy. We will definitely book to stay here again.”

”The first room was up 4 flights of stairs which was difficult having COPD the central heating was permanently on and couldn't turn it off, it made a racket all night stopped us sleeping, they eventually moved us to a bungalow which was much better but the hot water was boiling hot and could be very dangerous for children . There was NO restaurant or bar which was advertised . it was self catering but no shop to buy food and the internet on for 4 days Not impressed and would not recommend”

”Nice comfy room with a sea view, comfortable bed, super friendly staff, a nice pub and good breakfast in a great location. Also parking was free :) there were just minor things to improve - the door handle in the bathroom was loose as well as the temperature setting in the shower. Also internet was unstable so if you wanna stream something, its almost impossible. We had room 12 on the third floor, which we didnt mind, but consider if youre older or require accessibility :-)”

But if I was to be really really critical I would say that a full length mirror would be a added benefit especially for the shorter people and a wall shelf in the bathroom would definitely help. ”The Tyr Castle is a lovely old building with lots of character.Trudy is very welcoming ,and nothing was to much trouble. Food was great , cooked to Order ,piping hot on hot plates. Victor the barman and waiter was efficient and friendly.Views are spectacular , we were lucky to have a small balcony which we could sit out on. Only downside was a very small shower cubicle,but given age of property understandable. Easy parking in front of building. We had a very relaxing weeks holiday .”

Plaster falling off some of the walls. No bedside tables. Old shower curtain. Also breakfast was extra. ”Good location in beautiful scenery not far from some walks. On a main road but it was completely silent at night. Suite was lovely and bigger than expected, with beautiful views, and a very modern bathroom with a fab shower. The bed did have a weird slope to it though which put our feet higher than our heads! Food in the pub at dinner time was expensive and average, although breakfast was plentiful and good quality. Enjoyed our stay very much. ”

”Pet-friendly BUT you need to know that the guesthouse is just a small part of a large caravan and camping site. There’s also a field of horses. Guesthouse clients with dogs are only allowed in rooms accessible from the outside; we weren’t allowed inside the building. So my room opened directly onto the access road, with all the mud and noise that comes from all the traffic, walkers, and horses that passed in front of the door and small window.
