”We spent 4 nights in June 2014 at Royal Zanzibar Beach Resort and we really enjoyed our stay. It took a bit over one hour from the airport to reach the hotel. We used a taxi which I highly recommend. Cost was 60 USD. Police had many road blocks along to way, so make sure your driver has his paper work in order. ”Wunderschönes - großes Haus mit rooftop pool. Das freundlichste Personal ever. Essen in den Restaurants in Spitzenqualität. Haben auch die Ruhe am Pool genossen. ”

”Vietimme loistavan kaksiviikkoisen loman tässä todella tasokkaassa hotellissa . En voisi kuvitella parenpaa ja ystävällisempää palvelua mitä saimme osaksemme. Aamiaisbuffetti oli täydellinen. Samoin menuu. Kaiken lisäksi pääkokki kävi kyselemässä että jos listalta ei löydy sopivaa niin tehdään sellainen. Ei tarvinnut tehdä. Sijainti erinomainen . Meren rannalla , kaupunkin keskustassa.”

”For that price very nice place. Staff was very friendly, breakfast was good. One night dinner was 10/10 but two nights I would say 8/10. Pool area is nice, gym is small and hot (poor air conditioning). Would recommend and visit again.”

Qui il mare non è meraviglioso, ma la magnificenza del sito cancella questo minus: la privacy assoluta e il silenzio interrotto solo dai rumori della jungla rrendono questo resort incomparabile per chi cerca relax e bellezza lontano dalle piu note spiagge invase dal turismo di massa, sulla carta migliori ma di fatto invivibili. ”

”Huone oli mukava ja siisti, kuvien mukainen. Henkilökunta oli erittäin ystävällistä, ranta oli kaunis ja riippuen vuorovedestä joko aaltoinen tai erittäin matalalla - jolloin pääsi näkemään matalassa vedessä meritähtiä :) Hotelli ei ollut ilmoituksesta huolimatta kuitenkaan savuton, vain huoneissa tupakointi oli kielletty - rantatuoleilla oli valitettavasti tuhkakupit. Rannalla oli paljon myyjiä mikä oli välillä hieman raskasta, muttei häiritsevää.”

”We stayed five nights with my husband. The hotel is beautiful, and the owner is very friendly, polite and makes an effort to make the stay perfect! My husband happened to have his birthday during our stay, and I asked the manager to have a surprise cake. We got it all; a cake, candles, a birthday-song and a bottle of wine to take to our room!! All in all this hotel played a very big role in making our vacation perfect!”

”Beautiful hotel. The staff is the best part. The barefoot concept is great. If you are looking for a relaxing and quiet getaway this is the one. The ocean is not very accessible as it is mainly coral so keep that in mind when booking- you will most likely be 99% in the pool not the ocean.”

”TOA Hotel & Spa Zanzibar is a fairly new, very clean and cozy resort. The beach isn’t great for swimming, but we knew this at the time of the booking. The pool area is nice, but the water is a bit cold. We booked a room with a jacuzzi, but unfortunately there were quite a few problems with the jacuzzi. They tried to clean and fix the jacuzzi a few times, but the water temperature would not hold comfortable (either too hot or cold) and the jacuzzi kept getting debris from the hosing. The room...

”An excellent spot in the Stonetown. We stayed a couple of nights in Espresso. This location is near to the harbour area, and many shops for souvenirs or daily needs. The room was clean and spaceous, a slight surprise was the separate but private washroom - understandable in an old building with history and character. The service is excellent, and the breakfast was very versatile. High recommendations!”

”One very seldom meets so friendly and professional staff as at Serena Inn. Rooms are cosy with local flavour in furniture, seaview is great and food is delicious. All details in the building show that plenty of effort and money has been invested into restoration. The hotel has been built from the former post headquarters and a chinese doctor´s home - fotos show that the starting point was quite discouraging. The end result is far from sterile standard.”

”Tämä hotelli on täydellinen! Huone missä me olimme oli nimeltään Camille ja se on kokemisen arvoinen. Palvelu on ensiluokkaista. Illallismenu yläkerran ravintolassa oli myös todella hyvä ja näkymät ihanat yli stonetownin. ”

”Ranta ei ole hyvä. Baarimikon palvelu ei hyvä, joka asiassa ongelma. Pyyhkeitä puuttui, eikä juomalaseja vaihdettu. Ville voitti pingiksen ja Tuomas tenniksen. Muuten kaikki oli täydellistä.”

”It was brand new hotel, the rooms were beautiful and nicely decorated. The bed was good, restaurants were good, service was excellent. The garden was magnificent. Only thing where they really should focus is beach area cleaning. Not just around deckchairs -> real beach cleaning, to collect bottles, glass, other garbage away from the beach and teach also that to local boats crews and fisherman. So that beach area can stay nice and clean in future also. ”
