”It was brand new hotel, the rooms were beautiful and nicely decorated. The bed was good, restaurants were good, service was excellent. The garden was magnificent. Only thing where they really should focus is beach area cleaning. Not just around deckchairs -> real beach cleaning, to collect bottles, glass, other garbage away from the beach and teach also that to local boats crews and fisherman. So that beach area can stay nice and clean in future also. ”

”Vietimme loistavan kaksiviikkoisen loman tässä todella tasokkaassa hotellissa . En voisi kuvitella parenpaa ja ystävällisempää palvelua mitä saimme osaksemme. Aamiaisbuffetti oli täydellinen. Samoin menuu. Kaiken lisäksi pääkokki kävi kyselemässä että jos listalta ei löydy sopivaa niin tehdään sellainen. Ei tarvinnut tehdä. Sijainti erinomainen . Meren rannalla , kaupunkin keskustassa.”

”We had a wonderful stay at riu jambo. The staff are so friendly and courteous you are always greeted no matter when or where and asked how you are. The room was also a 10/10 large bathroom very clean we were just unlucky that a construction site made noise directly at our place but nevertheless the positive aspects outweigh the negative ones. The best two activities for us were "all around africa" and "karaoke night". The hotel grounds are very, very large and very nice, the food is also great...

”One very seldom meets so friendly and professional staff as at Serena Inn. Rooms are cosy with local flavour in furniture, seaview is great and food is delicious. All details in the building show that plenty of effort and money has been invested into restoration. The hotel has been built from the former post headquarters and a chinese doctor´s home - fotos show that the starting point was quite discouraging. The end result is far from sterile standard.”

”Upea paikka! Yövyimme sea view villassa, jossa oli puitteet kohdallaan. Palvelu erinomaista, joskin osa tarjoilijoista ei osannut kovin hyvin englantia. Ruoka melko yksipuolista ja laiturilla oleva ravintola myös hyvin vaihteleva laadultaan. Allasalue oli kiva ja aktiviteetteja monipuolisesti tarjolla. Lähellä oleva Nungwi beach suht rauhallinen esim. Kendwaan verrattuna. Paikka sopii hyvin rauhallisempaan oleiluun.”

We had a suite beach view with pavillon, which is a bit of a mis-conception because in front of your pavillon is an area of sand then the large swimming pool and then the beach and sea which you cannot actually see! The suite itself was lovely. All the staff were friendly and helpful. It was our 29th wedding celebration and unfortunately on the night my husband was ill and I had to go to dinner on my own. ”We spent 4 nights in June 2014 at Royal Zanzibar Beach Resort and we really enjoyed our stay. It took a bit over one hour from the airport to reach the hotel. We used a taxi which I highly recommend. Cost was 60 USD. Police had many road blocks along to way, so make sure your driver has his paper work in order. Potenttiaalia paremmaksi hotelliksi
"Kaikinpuolin hyvä hotelli, mukava henkilökunta, aamupala oli erittäin monipuolinen ja huone oli positiivinen kokemus. Muutamaan asiaan toivoisin parannusta: Hotellille johtavan tien kuntoa pitäisi saada parempaan kuntoon esim. täyttämällä suuret kuopat soralla, saateen jälkeen jättimäisiä lammikoita et pääse ohittamaan kastelematta jalkoja/kenkiä. Muutenkin erittäin liukasta kulkea mutaisella tiellä. Toiseksi: Ajoittan hotellin edustalla olevalla rannalla oli erittäin paljon roskia, olisi hienoa nähdä että iso hotelli osallistuisi roskatalkoisiin ja keräisivät joka aamu rannalta roskat pois. Viihtyvyys parantuisi samalla. Työntekijöitä näytti olevan hotellilla kuitenkin erittäin paljon. Kolmanneksi: Rannalla on välillä erittäin paljon retkien ja huumeitten myyjiä. Parhaimmillaan 25 henkilöä oli odottamassa hotellin edessä turisteja, joille myydä palveluitaan. Yhtenäkään päivänä ei saanut ottaa aurinkoa rauhassa ilman huuteluita. Vaikka kerrot heille ettet ole kiinnostunut, niin tyrkyttäminen jatkuu. Rasittavaa. Kuitenkin vietimme kolme viikkoa täällä ja viihdyttiin. Ps. Altaalla tai rannalla ei sitten kannata syödä, agressiiviset varikset ovat heti kimpussasi ;)"
