The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was clean.
However, it was disappointing that the pool was salt water and small especially considering that at this time of year there is no beach due (I gather from the staff) to the wind direction and depending on the tide it can be a fair walk to the sea.
We had problems with our AC, the staff were helpful in getting it working but it was not very efficient.
The resort prides itself on sustainable eco friendly tourism which is absolutely great so I was surprised when the waitress brought us bottled water (for $2.50 US) at dinner rather than a jug of the bulk mineral water (free) which the manager had shown me to cut down on plastic bottles.
The ambiance of the resort is good and the location on the edge of Nungwi is a great mix of quiet with lively restaurants close by.
