I would had given the hotel a higher rating, but due to the fact we discovered our sheets were not changed. There was blood on the flat, fitted and quilt. We called the front desk to complain and the staff was accommodating. At first we asked for clean sheets due to the fact it was late at night 1 am and we were exhausted. She moved us to another room and floor instead. We were told the manager Julie would be available in the morning. Well Julie was conveniently sick for the remainder of our stay. There was no representatives in place to discuss the situation. All we wanted was an acknowledgment and apology from management.
I am always in Delaware and have stayed at different hotels. This was our first time trying Holiday Inn and I don’t think I would go back. This situation was a big turn off. No one wants to sleep on someone else’s blood. It’s disgusting and unsanitary. I work for the Health Department and I am appalled at the way they brushed off the situation.
I suggest checking your sheets and bringing disinfecting wipes to go over your room. Even though it was supposedly cleaned.
The pro of this hotel was Ms. Audette in the breakfast area. She was accommodating and courteous to all the guests.
