”The gentleman at the front desk suggested watching the sun rise over the river to satisfy my desire to experience Hammond in an overnight stay as I was only passing through on a time schedule. I didn't really want to get up at 6 am but it was the highlight of my short stay outside of strolling through this cute town. ”This property is terribly inconvenient for guests. It isn't ADA-compliant. It has no elevator. One short hallway on the first floor is the only area that doesn't have stairs. It's a split-level, five steps to the second floor, five steps to the lower level, a 13-stair flight to the second floor. The sidewalk from the parking lot curves around the building, then rises to the front door that isn't automatic. This property is a holdover from the '60s. ”It was a satisfactory experience apart from the breakfast. A half hour before breakfast closing time almost all the hot food items were gone and not replenished. ”

”We arrived at the proprty and walked up to the porch to ring the doorbell. The property was overrun with dead plants and was very un kempt. The steps were hard to negotiate for my wife and I. There were pots of dead plants on every step. There was a cat tower next to the front door, and there was feces smeared on it right at eye level. On the one side of the porch was some kind of pet house with heat lamps in front of it, possibly for feral cats? On the other side of the porch were 3 chairs,...

”We stayed for a weekend and this place was perfect for our family. The staff were so polite and accommodating. My kiddos really enjoyed the HUGE pool. We would be happy to return in the future. We enjoyed our stay. ”
