”Nice room but outside balcony was covered in cobwebs and leaves. Couldn't find a way to turn the heating down and was way too warm in the room. Only one balcony door would open ”

”Although there was an issue with my booking on arrival (I had a confirmation but it hadn’t been received by the hotel), they were great about it and didn’t hesitate to get me a room organised. I was a late arrival and the kitchen had closed but again the team sorted me something to eat. The room was great and breakfast was fabulous. Highly recommended!”

”Location perfect for our group get together - 30 mins stroll into Skipton. Breakfast good however staff need more training in replenishment of items Dinner OK - very expensive for what it was as were drinks. Service not great as order taken incorrectly meaning one of our group got his meal later than the rest - they didn't charge him for it. Reception staff very good & helpful”

”Wonderful overnight stay with our springer spaniel . Lovely clean and spacious dog friendly room in the Annex with a fabulous view . Set in wonderful grounds with lovely outdoor areas and enjoyed a great circular walk down to the river. All staff were so friendly and the steak for the evening meal was cooked perfectly as was the very generous breakfast . Definitely be back”

”The setting of this hotel is beautiful. The room we had was recently renovated and was extremely comfortable. The staff were great, very friendly and attentive. We will be back to Harrogate and will definitely look to stay here again. The on-site Amber's restaurant is divine, and the food was amazing.”

”We were given a room at the rear of the hotel which was in a converted annex. This was nicely decorated with basic amenities although we did have a shower and a bath. The accommodation was on 2 floors, with the bathroom on the ground floor and the bedroom on the first floor. This was not very convenient for us when using the bathroom during the night, especially as the stairs were steep and creaked, waking us both each time. There was one chair upstairs and one downstairs so we couldn't both...

”The hotel and lake setting is beautiful. The spa is too expensive when you are limited to only two hours when it is extremely quiet.”
