Venture 5 miles to Tarr Steps, an impressive seven-span clapper bridge built entirely from stone, with picturesque riverside walks nearby. For history lovers, Dunster (14.5 miles) offers a medieval charm, a National Trust castle and easy access to the coast. Adventure-seekers will surely head to Wimbleball Lake (6 miles) for sailing and cycling trails.
