”Our visit started with Christy at the front desk. We had arrived prior to check-in time. She found a room for us and quickly had us on our way to our beautiful room. The rooms are spacious, luxurious, quiet and well appointed. Breakfast was delicious; service was warm and friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel. ”

”This is in a wonderful area of the Catskills with a creek streaming in the back if you wish to visit it. I've stayed a few times and I've seen many people take their dogs to Black Bear. They love the treed property for walks. It's close to farm stands or antiquing in the various towns along route 23.”

”The room was fine, just wasn’t as clean as I would prefer. I had to wipe down inside of drawers to put clothes in, as well as the coffee maker and inside microwave. One of the draw curtains was partly off the rod so I had to maneuver curtains to secure privacy. All in all, a decent place to stay for a few nights. Rich and staff are very friendly. ”

”On our trip to the Catskills we stayed at two places and this one far exceeded our expectation given its price. The views are fantastic no matter if you pay for the mountain-side view. However, the mountain-side view does give you access to the “backyard” from your room so you can just go stargazing or play the games they have or even sit by the bonfire. The lobby area is fantastic and so cozy with books and games. My partner and I kept playing battleship and there wasn’t really anyone else...
