”Brilliant communication from the host. Immaculate house in a quiet residential street. Had a driveway which fit our two cars comfortably. The house itself was beautiful. Stunning decor and attention to detail. Modern appliances and everything you need. Beds were super comfy with soft linen. The location was great as shops and retail park just a few minutes drive away, Durham was approx ten mins by car. The welcome booklet was so detailed it helped us lots. Would absolutely come stay here again,...

”We had the most amazing weekend at The Barn in Oakenshaw for a hen do with 16 of us! It was the perfect place for a weekend full of laughs, dancing, prosecco, and making forever memories with the bride to be. It was cosy and welcoming but with loads of space for everyone to get together and enjoy all the hen do fun. Claire, the host was fantastic throughout, from the moment we booked there was great communication and she was always on hand if we needed anything, which made the whole trip so easy...

”We were all really impressed with this property for the price it was really excellent value. The owner was extremely helpful and welcoming. The property is amazingly well supplied with everything you could need. It is close to the city centre, but also within easy reach of the beaches like Roker. It may not be the most picturesque part of Sunderland but the neighbours were also very pleasant and welcoming. I wouldn't hesitate to book this again.”
