Moonlight Woods - Gardener's Log Cabin

Escape to a cottage-styled log cabin on 10 wooded acres featuring a large covered porch and outdoor fire pit. The cabin includes a fully stocked kitchen and hotel amenities with high speed Wi-Fi internet and Smart TV. Secluded yet nearby to ski areas, hiking, swimming holes, biking, apple picking, and more. Just .5 miles off of RT 100, 22 min to Sugarbush, 20 min to Mad River Glen, and 39 min to Stowe Mtn Resort. 13 min to Waitsfield or Waterbury, 23 min to Montpelier, and 43 min to Burlington.

The space:
Inside our fully log cabin you will find a first floor bedroom with 1 queen bed and a small workspace with a desk, a loft with 2 twin beds accessible via ladder, 1 full bathroom, a full kitchen stocked with pots, pans, plates, bowls, glasses and utensils, a small dining area that seats 4, and a living area with a loveseat sofa, bench and a Roku TV with guest mode where you can easily and temporarily sign-in to all of your personal streaming services. If you have a small child we do have a pack and play available in the laundry room at all times. We also have a ladder guard available to prevent climbing of the loft ladder and can set it up prior to your arrival with notice (it is always available in the utility room). There is also a spacious front porch that spans the front of the cabin, facing into the clearing and featuring tables and seating.

A large fire pit area is carved into the side of the hill in front of the cabin with a 4ft diameter fire pit and rustic log seating. A lighter and firestarter are provided in a basket on the front porch, and firewood is available for purchase locally.

A gas barbecue grill is available for guests outside. Gas and BBQ tools are included.

Heat and AC are provided through 2 mini split pumps - one in the living area and the other in the main bedroom. They can be adjusted via the wall mounted controllers for your comfort.

A washer and dryer are available for guests in the utility room as well as an iron/ironing board and hair dryer. Free and clear detergent is available.

2 Pairs of adult snowshoes are available for your use during your stay during the winter months.

A drip coffee maker is available along with complimentary packets of coffee grounds and tea bags.

All bed sheets are 100% cotton. Towels are provided for guests. Liquid hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are available in the bathroom as well as rolls of toilet paper. Liquid dish soap, a new sponge, and a couple of rolls of paper towel are available in the kitchen.

Guest access:
You will have access to the cabin via keypad. A door code will be provided prior to your arrival. There is also a Ring video doorbell located next to the front door for security and communication. Ringing the doorbell will call me directly. You will have the entire cabin to yourselves, and you're welcome to roam the 10-acre property and walk through the back woods, where trails are currently being cut. Our other cabin sits up the hill on the same driveway, so you may see its guests coming and going. The bear-proof shed behind your cabin holds the trash for both cabins. We ask those guests to use it only between 10 am and 4 pm, and we keep our own trash runs, mowing and upkeep to those same hours. We never enter the cabin during your stay without asking first, except in an emergency.

Other things to note:
To access the house, you will need to drive up a dirt road. During the winter months when there is snow on the ground or in early spring when it can be muddy, it is highly recommended to have a vehicle equipped with AWD/4WD and/or snow tires to ensure a safe and hassle-free arrival.
