”Friendly staff, and clean comfortable room!”

”Although the desk clerk was pleasant enough, the overall hotel experience was not as expected. It very much needs updating and cleaning . The hallway carpet was torn and stained. The sofa in our room was lopsided due to a broken leg (I reported it to the hotel and the clerk already knew about it). The free breakfast looked good, but there were only 3 tables the next morning. They were all full. Unable to sit on the sofa in our room for breakfast (I didn’t really want to balance a plate of food...

”Lowest price which is why we chose it. I won't be going again. Needs updating. Claims a breakfast but going across the street to a Kwik Trip was a better option.”

”This is a good value stay, and for three nights, it served as a central base for exploring the natural beauty along the Mississippi, including Pike's Peak Park, Effigy Mounds National Monument, and Wyalusing in Wisconsin. Bathroom and towels were good, room was spacious and clean, breakfast was better than average. Bonus open spaces included a casual meeting room overlooking the river and easy access to the outdoor deck. We also enjoyed the winery steps away, along with their live music on...

”We had a nice stay at Black Bear Cabin. Short distance to tourist attractions. Hot tub was enjoyed and the beds were comfortable. Some things that might help improve the stay for others would be: dish towels for easier kitchen clean up, ability to plug in deck lighting, hooks or shelving in rooms for towels and clothes, end tables in the queen bed rooms, and fresh batteries for basement remote. The kitchen had all the tools we needed for cooking. Great place for meditating and quality time. ”
